ICMA-ERC survey shows strong recovery in European repo market

 

March 18, 2010 (London, UK) The European Repo Council of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) today released the results of its 18th semi-annual survey of the European repo market. The survey sets the baseline figure for market size at EUR 5,582 billion, representing an increase of 14.7% on the figure of EUR 4,868 billion for the previous survey in June 2009.

Updates to IPMA Handbook

 
March 3, 2010 ICMA has issued new additions to its handbook of primary market practice, in the form of a recommendation on passive bookrunner access to order book and two guidance notes on New safekeeping structure for registered notes – Changes to legal documentation and Prospectus Directive – Considerations for exempt offers and non exempt offers of sub-EUR 50,000 denomination bonds in the EEA.

New ICMA Regional Head in the Middle East

 

December 8, 2009 (Zurich - Switzerland) The International Capital Market Association (ICMA) is pleased to announce that Robert H. Mohamed will be the new chairman for the ICMA Middle East, Far East and Africa region.  In this capacity Mr Mohamed will coordinate the Association’s activities in support of its member firms in the region, with particular emphasis on the Gulf where he is located.
